Our client is a major hotel, and is part of a global organisation operating over 300 hotels worldwide.
The Issue – This hotel had gone through an extensive refit and re-brand. There were numerous challenges in the physical and procedural security of the building.
We needed to understand all existing and potential threats and then ensure an appropriate level of security was present to address these threats. We also needed to educate staff so they were prepared for any potential threat.
The Solution – A thorough risk and threat assessment was conducted which identified possible gaps in security and recommended viable solutions for their improvement.
This resulted in a number of measures being implemented including additional physical measures in certain cash handling areas, a rehearsed and revised emergency evacuation plan and ongoing training and advice for hotel staff.
The Result– The hotel was able to implement both systems and processes that met their overall security needs.
The program has been a resounding success with outcomes such as improved staff safety, CCTV to deter nuisance criminal activity, extra security personnel support for peak periods and a trained and more confident workforce.
